This is fan art I created to celebrate Pokemon, Pikachu. I use several tools to make my Pikachu fanart. I use all of the following to varying degrees.
Toon Boom Harmony (This is a comprehensive 2D animation software that supports the entire animation production pipeline, from drawing and rigging characters to compositing and adding visual effects and is widely recognized as an industry standard, used by major studios such as Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney Television Animation, and others.
Adobe Animate (I’ve been using this since it was originally released as Adobe Flash…it is a multimedia authoring and animation program from Adobe used to create vector-based animations, interactive content, and motion graphics for web, mobile, TV, and games. It supports frame-by-frame animation, tweening, HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, SVG, and other formats.)
Clip Studio Paint — EX version (Celsys developed this tool for creating comics, illustrations, and 2D animations. It supports both raster and vector art and is widely used for webtoons, concept art, and animation.)
TVPaint Animation (I use this for small hand-drawn accents that I convert into my digital files.)
Boris FX Optics (This is a cinematic effects plugin and standalone application that brings Hollywood‑grade visual effects into still photography and digital art.)
Adobe Photoshop (I use this for color adjustment, simple SFX, sharpening, framing and other finishing adjustments.)
